Stable Neighbours connects horse owners and riders locally, providing an alternative to disorganised online groups. I designed and built the entire platform as a scalable, reliable web application, carefully choosing technologies that would support the product’s goals and future growth.

The idea began after seeing a friend struggle to continue riding following the death of her horse. I explored how riders and owners currently find each other and found that most relied on Facebook groups, which lacked structure and usability. This shaped a clear objective: to create a dedicated platform that made discovery easy, encouraged trust, and worked smoothly on any device.

The design aimed to remove friction for users, with clear horse profiles, intuitive navigation and responsive layouts. I integrated Figma with Builder.io, allowing design assets to flow directly into live, editable components. I also created original lifestyle imagery using AI and photo editing tools to establish a distinctive identity without a marketing budget.

Key components, like the animated carousel, were developed from scratch to support smooth interactions across devices. Builder.io was integrated to give flexibility in managing content without compromising performance.
